How it began
In the early 1980s, Brian Cotton wanted to fix up the family bathroom. His remodeling plans included removing the bathtub and installing a new one. For an entire week, while the bathroom was undergoing renovation, his family was forced to go to the local health club for their showers. Brian thought, there has to be a better way…
The idea of a company devoted strictly to one-day bath remodeling was born. Brian started business in earnest with his brothers Glenn and Wayne in 1984. Bath Fitter’s earliest clients included hotels such as the Sheraton Centre in Montreal, the Chateau Laurier in Ottawa, and the Royal York in Toronto.
Since then, our small business has become a North America-wide industry leader, but our commitment to excellence and innovation remains unparalleled.

We have state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities in Springfield, Tenn. and Montreal, Que., where we make our own molds and top-quality acrylic materials. Our finished goods are shipped directly to our retail locations via our fleet of specially equipped tractor-trailers, ensuring safe and on-time deliveries.
Vertical integration at Bath Fitter means that we are in total control from start to finish of every detail related to the quality of our bath remodeling products. We never use subcontractors. By being directly involved in the operation of numerous corporately owned retail locations and by keeping in constant communication with our extensive network independently-owned franchises, we stay in touch with the latest consumer trends and maintain the highest possible standard of client satisfaction.
